The first unsettling teaser trailer for Bring Her Back, the new movie from the directing duo behind smash horror hit Talk To Me, is here. 

What’s more, horror fans are already predicting a “second masterpiece” from Aussie filmmakers Danny and Michael Philppou.

The film stars Sally Hawkins in a story that… well, remains a mystery for now. However, judging by Bring Her Back’s disturbing first trailer, the Philippou siblings look like they’re back on familiar ground.

If you saw Talk To Me, you’ll know that unsuspecting story dealt with the realm of the dead, the living and the murky territory where both meet. Bring Her Back looks ready to deal with similar themes, with its first trailer teasing topics like death, ressurection and hauntings.

What are horror fans saying about Bring Her Back?

Despite only being online for a few hours, horror fans have jumped all over the Philippou brothers’ latest offering.

One user has even made the bold proclamation that we could be set to receive a “second masterpiece” in the wake of the duo’s break-out movie Talk To Me.

“Do we have a second masterpiece on our hands by the Philppou twins?” asked @AaronLovesFilm on X.

Elsewhere, other fans said they had “high hopes” for the movie, while some simply said “LOOKS SO GOOD”.

“I knew they were gonna cook but not this hard omg. Im so locked in,” said another X user.

Bring Her Back is released theatrically on 30 May 2024.

Joining Hawkins in this new horror are English actor Billy Barratt, Liam Damons, Sally-Anne Upton, Jonah Wren Phillips, Stephen Phillips and Sora Wong.

Unfortunately, character details are missing at the moment – but hopefully, we’ll learn more as the film’s release date approaches.
