- Fourth season set for imminent release
- Third season expected to fare well with upcoming Emmy nominations
- 10 new episodes will drop this summer

The Bear season four is almost upon us.
After clearing up at the Emmys for the last two years, The Bear received more mixed reviews for it’s third season. Although it is still expected to fare well when nominations are announced for this year’s awards in July.
The FX dramedy, set in Chicago, has proved to be wildly popular with audiences and has made stars out of the likes of Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
Dealing with themes such as addiction, suicide, fractured family lives, depression and anxiety, The Bear is still classified as a comedy at award shows, which has caused some controversy as many viewers and pundits have claimed it begins in the drama categories.
Nonetheless, the show has been praised for how it has approached these themes and for specific episodes such as ‘forks’, ‘fishes’, ‘Review’, ‘Braciole’, ‘Napkins’ and ‘Ice Chips’.
This past week, FX dropped a post on social media, confirming that season four is imminent. Just over a month away, in fact.
“Family forever. FX’s The Bear Season 4. Premieres 6/25 on Hulu and Disney Plus” reads the caption on the post. The season will be 10 episodes long, with all episodes dropping at the same time, the same as the previous three seasons.
Per FX, “With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome,” the season four synopsis reads. “This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better — it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.”
