What is Margot Robbie’s net worth?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Robbie’s estimated fortune stands at a staggering $60 million.
Acting career
Bursting onto our screens in The Wolf of Wall Street in 2014, Robbie has gone on to star in movies such as Suicide Squad, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, and I, Tonya – the latter of which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her portrayal of Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding.
Her talent has come with a healthy paycheck, and between September 2018 and September 2019, Robbie earned $24 million – making her one of the highest-paid actresses in the world during that period.
Of course, who can forget Robbie’s impact last summer – when she starred as the titular character in the Barbie movie.
With Ryan Gosling playing her Ken, the film earned well over $1 billion at the global box office. It is thought that Robbie’s total payday topped $50 million – not too shabby!
Production company
Away from acting, Robbie and her husband Ackerley – along with their two friends Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara – created the successful production company LuckyChap Entertainment.
LuckyChap produced the Oscar-nominated film I, Tonya, as well as Promising Young Woman, which took home the Best Original Screenplay gong at the 2021 Academy Awards – as well as more recent movies like Saltburn and, of course, Barbie.
Other endorsements
While her career as an actor and producer may be her main source of income, an A-Lister like Robbie will also earn a good chunk of her fortune from brand deals.
In 2016, she became the face of Calvin Klein’s Deep Euphoria fragrance, and a year later, she began to appear in Nissan commercials for its line of electric vehicles.
By 2018, Robbie was announced as the brand ambassador for Chanel, and eventually became the face of their fragrance, Chanel Gabrielle Essence.
Real estate
Although she hails from Australia, Robbie has settled in Los Angeles.
In 2017, she quietly purchased a property in the Hancock Park neighborhood of the city, reportedly paid $2.73 million for the impressive home. The 3,300-square-foot residence features a wine cellar, a pool, a private balcony. It was listed for sale in June 2021, for $3.4 million
A year later, Robbie paid $950,000 for a modest LA home, which she renovated and rented out for three years until 2021.
Robbie’s current home was purchased in 2019 – this time in LA’s edgy Venice Beach neighborhood. Paying $5 million for the compound, it contains three separate structures, and has been described as ‘fortress-like’. The couple are currently carrying out major construction work on the home.
As well as her own properties, Robbie has been generous with her loved ones.
In 2014, she paid off her mom Sarie’s mortgage for her 60th birthday present.
Five years later, she purchased two homes – so that her mom and sister, Anya, could live within the same gated duplex. Paying around $1.8 million in the deal, it sits along Australia’s Gold Coast, where Robbie was raised.
Relationships
Away from the limelight, Robbie has been in a relationship with Tom Ackerley since 2014 – an assistant director who she met on the set of Suite Française a year earlier.
Two years later, the couple married in a private ceremony in Australia’s Byron Bay.
