It was her ‘redemption tour’ after withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to the ‘twisties’ – a disorientating mental block that would have meant she was unable to land her movements safely.

But after winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, Simone Biles has extended her record as the most decorated gymnast in history.

The 27-year-old athlete wowed with her performances in the women’s team gymnastics event, taking home the top prize – her fifth Olympic gold medal – along with fellow teammates Sunisa Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera after finishing with a combined score of 171.296, nearly six points clear of Italy.

And Biles wasn’t done there – later going on to win the all-around gymnastics title for her sixth Olympic gold.

But what is Biles’s net worth, and what does her real estate portfolio look like? Read on to find out more.

What is Simone Biles’s net worth?

As the most recognisable face in gymnastics today, it’s no wonder that Biles has amassed an estimated fortune of $20 million.

However, the money hasn’t necessarily come from the sport itself.

While athletes do pick up bonuses for every medal they win, these are a meager figure compared to Biles’s other ventures.

Gold-winning athletes are being awarded $37,500 for topping the podium at the Paris Olympics. The US Olympic and Paralympic Committee is also awarding $22,500 for silver medals and $15,000 for bronze, although these amounts were lower in previous years.

Prior to Paris, Biles already had four golds, one silver and two bronzes under her belt, and was estimated to have earned around $150,000 from her Olympic career so far.

Brand deals

Here’s where Biles makes the big bucks!

With sponsors including Wheaties cereal, Powerade, clothing brand Athleta and dog food company Nulo, she has also collaborated with the likes of Uber Eats, United Airlines, Visa, Subway and Beats by Dre over the course of her career.

Although exactly how much she earns from these deals is unknown, three years ago, Forbes estimated that they earned her at least $5 million a year. She made $10 million the following year, with the publication also marking her as the highest-paid gymnast in the world.

Real estate

Biles is a Texas girl through and through, having lived most of her life in the southern US state.

Back in 2017, the athlete announced she was selling her childhood home in Houston, Texas. The residence hit the housing market with a price tag of $289,000, and it spans a total of 3,711 square feet. The home reportedly sold for between $250,001 and $285,000.

In 2021, Biles purchased a contemporary ranch-style Texas home – and after years of renovations, the property is now said to be worth a cool $2 million.

Amenities include an L-shaped pool with a spa, and the Olympian added a personalized touch with decals of her last name running through a giant capital ‘B’ above the names of her French bulldogs, Lilo and Rambo.

In 2023, Simone announced that she and her now husband, Jonathan Owens, were “breaking ground” on a new home together, with the plot thought to still be located in Houston.

Relationships

Prior to meeting Owens, 29, Biles was in a relationship with fellow gymnast Stacey Ervin Jr. from August 2017 to March 2020.

She then began dating Chicago Bears safety Owens in August that year. They announced their engagement February 15 2022, and married the following year on April 22.
