  • Ronaldo launched his own YouTube channel this week
  • The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star became the fastest growing content creator in the history of the platform
  • Ronaldo’s channel has already amassed tens of millions of views

Cristiano Ronaldo’s foray into YouTube content creation has, unsurprisingly, already started shattering records, only days after the channel, UR Cristiano, was launched.

But, not content with becoming the first YouTube channel to hit a million subscribers in two hours, the multiple time Ballon d’Or and Champions League winner is now coming for the platform’s heaviest hitters.

Namely, Mr.Beast.

In just two days, Ronaldo has garnered 33.8m followers on his channel, where he (or more likely a severely overworked social media assistant) has uploaded 19 videos, all of which have generated millions of views each.

It is this rapid growth that has seen the Portugal captain smash Mr.Beast’s record of fasting growing channel of all time, gaining 20 million followers in less than 24 hours, whereas it took Mr.Beast 132 days to reach 10 million followers. Amateur levels, honestly.

In fact, Ronaldo hit 10 million in 12 hours. He’d barely even hit the upload button before he was into seven figures.

In his launch announcement for the channel, Ronaldo said, “I am very happy to make this project come to life. It has been in my mind for a long time but finally we have the opportunity to make it real.

“I have always enjoyed having such a strong relationship with fans on social media and my YouTube channel will give me an even bigger platform to do so and they will learn more about me, my family and my views on many different subjects. I am looking forward to sharing conversations with guests that will surprise people!”

The three time Premier League champion will probably be on 75 million subscribers by the time you finish reading this article. Mr.Beast is in the mud.
