She leaves quite the impression, and now Sabrina Carpenter has had a major impact on the voting booths.

Prior to Donald Trump’s win in the US election on November 5, the pint-sized singer, 25, worked with voter registration organization HeadCount to encourage her fans.

Throughout her Short ‘n Sweet tour, Carpenter registered 35,814 new voters, with an additional 263,087 voters engaged in other ways, such as checking their registration status or polling location.

She achieved this feat through giveaways, in-person activations and video boards on the tour, and mailers.

HeadCount explained, “Our model works because musicians and celebrities have a cultural cache and an intimate connection with their fans, especially among young people, whose identity as a fan of a particular artist can be even stronger than other aspects of their identity, including affiliation with a political party or candidate.

“We are so grateful to our artist partners and their teams for inspiring their fans to take control of their future by voting.”

The organization said it could track which voter registrations were associated with which act.

“HeadCount has unique landing pages and tracking codes for each campaign, so they can get confirmation of registration,” they said. “Ultimately, they learn about registrations through the public voter file.”

‘Sabrina’s pretty special’

But it wasn’t just political figures who were impressed with Carpenter.

Elsewhere, her boyfriend Barry Keoghan also sung the pop star’s praises.

In a podcast episode with Louis Theroux, the broadcaster asked the Oscar-nominated actor, 32, his relationship with Carpenter, to which he laughed, “Oh, I knew you’d do this.”

Keoghan went on to say that he feels “incredibly blessed” to be dating the Taste singer, adding, “Such a strong, independent lady who’s massively talented and yeah, pretty special.”

After meeting in September 2023, Carpenter and Keoghan were spotted having a romantic dinner together three months later, and made their first public appearance at W’s Grammys after-party in February.

The Oscar-nominee was later seen supporting his girlfriend as she performed at a string of festivals around the world, including Coachella – where she referenced his role in Saltburn by changing her outro to her song, Nonsense, while he looked on.

“Made his knees so weak, he had to spread mine. He’s drinkin’ my bath water like it’s red wine. Coachella, see you back here when I headline,” she sang.

The pair later attended the Met Gala together, Carpenter’s 25th birthday party, and Keoghan starred in the Please Please Please video.
