- Vikings safety Cam Bynum pulled out the Australian breakdancer’s much parodied Olympics routine after pulling off a crucial interception against the Jags
- Bynum is building up a collection of all-timer celebrations
- The Vikings went onto defeat Jacksonville 12-7
Cam Bynum made sure it was worth the wait. The Minnesota Vikings safety may not have had chance to celebrate for a few weeks, but when the time came, the 26-year-old dropped a routine that genuinely may be enough to win him this season’s MVP.
After pulling off a vital fourth quarter interception off of Mac Jones, with Minnesota leading 12-7, Bynum went wild by dropping a flawless rendition of the infamous Ray Gun Olympics breakdancing routine.
The commitment to the bit is breathtaking, especially when matched up with the original, which became a viral sensation during this summer’s Olympics in Paris.
Speaking after the Vikings’ victory, Bynum said, “It’s been a while since I’ve had a celly, so I’m like ‘I gotta go crazy with this one,’. I wish I had a little more time, I would’ve done the whole dance, but trust me, I’ve got another one coming.”
So far this season Bynum has channeled Usher for an interception celly against the Texans in week three. In week four he was backflipping in celebration after a fumble recovery against Green Bay and then he and John Metellus dropped the handshake from Parent Trap in London against the Jets in week five.
Bynum and the Vikings took their record for the season to 7-2 after victory over the Jags on Sunday. They currently sit in second place behind the 8-1 Detroit Lions in the NFC North. A visit to the 2-7 Tennesse Titans awaits Bynum and co, this weekend.
We cannot wait to see what happens if Bynum pulls off another interception on Sunday.
