Nobody Wants This star Adam Brody has been stealing our hearts since he first launched his career in 1999. 

And as we wait for season two of the hit Netflix show to hit the streaming service at some point this year, the 2025 awards season is giving us plenty of Brody content in the meantime.

While – small spoiler alert – his character in Nobody Wants This, Noah, may have broken up with his long-time love, Brody, 45, is happily married to Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, 38. 

And not only that, but the actor is thoroughly obsessed with his wife of 14 years (although why wouldn’t he be – we’re talking about THE Blair Waldorf here!). 

When asked by The Hollywood Reporter if it is “weird being constantly dubbed relationship goals”, Brody had the perfect reply. 

“No, what an honor,” he said. “What an honor. I mean, you only know what you see, but it’s lovely to be married to her. 

“So I am incredibly lucky, and everyone should be so lucky.”

Fans go wild for Adam Brody and Leighton Meester on red carpet 

If his reaction to that question was not perfect enough, Brody and Meester’s interaction on the SAG Awards red carpet last week sent social media into a frenzy. 

A video of the couple together showed that as they posed for paparazzi photos together, Brody whispered something in his wife’s ear – which sent Meester into peels of laughter. 

“One thing about Adam Brody – he WILL make Leighton Meester laugh on a red carpet,” one fan wrote on Twitter/X. Another went on, “Adam Brody and Leighton Meester would have the power to make me definitively stop believing that love can win. At this point, I put my trust in them.”

Branding them “the absolute cutest”, someone else wished, “I hope they stay together forever”. 

Noting that we are in “the middle of a Leighton Meester renaissance – love to see it”, another added, “I know love is real because of Leighton Meester and Adam Brody.”

Another joked, “I love when future co-workers get along”, because…

And fans of the pair had yet more reason to go wild last week – as it was announced that Meester will be joining Brody in the season two cast of Nobody Wants This.

The rom-com series was a hit when it launched on Netflix last September, with audiences desperate to find out how Brody’s character, Noah – a Rabbi – navigated a romance with agnostic podcaster Joanne, played by Kristen Bell.

Now Meester will join her husband in the next season as Abby. 

The character is described as Joanne’s middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer.
