  • The legal proceedings have been on-going for six years
  • Dewan has accused Tatum of hiding his income from Magic Mike
  • The pair were married for eight years

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s divorce battle is refusing to simmer, with tensions boiling over once again in the six-year long legal saga.

The pair, who were married for eight years but seperated in 2019, have clashed continuously during the divorce over accusations made by Dewan that the 44-year-old actor hid the income he received from Magic Mike, which he starred in, in 2012.

Tatum has strenuously denied the allegations, writing “I have always agreed for her to have an interest in the Magic Mikeintellectual property and related entities,” in documents obtained by the MailOnline.

“I have never denied her share of any community assets or income. Her claims that I have ‘colluded with third parties’ are completely false.”

Now, Tatum has claimed Dewan filed a motion to disqualify his lawyers from working on the case just three months before their trial was due to begin, in what has been described as a “transparent attempt to divert the Court’s attention” from Dewan’s “desire to delay proceedings”.

Dewan, 43, accused the her Step-Up co-star of “using every trick in the book to stall this case from getting to trial,” People reports.

The former couple share their 11-year-old daughter Evelyn, who was born before their marriage.

Tatum has replied to Dewan’s motion by claiming his ex-wife has never been a client of any of his legal teams and therefore holds no “confidential information” about Dewan that could give them an unfair advantage over her when the trial begins.

The Don’t Blink star, who is now engaged to the film’s director Zoe Kravitz, has also filed for Dewan to reimburse him $20,000 for the delays her legal claim has incurred, hoping that the costs will deter “such obstreperous conduct in the future.”

Regarding Dewan’s claims about his hiding of his Magic Mike income, Tatum also said, “complete access to all our financial records for all our activities during our marriage and since separation. I continue to provide her with updates regarding Magic Mike financial matters”.

Dewan’s representatives told The Independent that Tatum’s claims are “smears and falsehoods”. The Come Dance With Me judge has since gotten engaged to actor and singer Steve Kazee.
