- Season five of Emily in Paris is currently in production
- While the cast sets to work in Rome, one very famous face has joined the series
- Hollywood star Minnie Driver will play a character called Princess Jane in the next instalment

Emily in Paris is the show we can’t get enough of.
And as the Netflix show began filming its fifth season earlier this month, it has now been announced that a very famous face has joined the series.
Minnie Driver is the latest actor to appear in the show.
The Hollywood legend, 55, will play Princess Jane – who is described as “a friend of Sylvie’s (Leroy-Beaulieu), who married into a royal family”.
Fans will recognize Driver best from her Oscar nominated performance in Good Will Hunting.
She has also been in films such as Owning Mahowny, the 2004 version of The Phantom of the Opera, and 2021’s live-action Cinderella.
In television, Driver has starred in shows like the FX series The Riches, the ABC sitcom Speechless, and the Netflix miniseries The Witcher: Blood Origin.
Who else will appear in Emily in Paris S5?
Alongside Driver, fans can expect most of our favorite characters to be returning to the show.
The series would be nothing without our Emily, and so Lily Collins is confirmed to be returning as the titular character once more.
The cast for season five also includes: Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie and Ashley Park.
Sadly, Camille Razat will not be returning for the new season, and confirmed her exit via Instagram.
Razat played a character of the same name, a socialite and Gabriel’s (Bravo) long-term girlfriend.
When will Emily in Paris S5 be released?

While the fifth series of Emily in Paris was announced in September 2024, as mentioned, filming for the season only began earlier this month.
This means that while Netflix haven’t announced an official release date yet, we’re not expecting to see the antics of Emily and co anytime soon.
In fact, if the streaming service sticks to its usual running schedule – and leaves a two-year gap in between seasons – it looks like we’ll be waiting until 2026 until we get our next instalment. Sacré bleu!
