Battlestate Games is rolling out a game-changing matchmaking system for Escape from Tarkov (EFT), currently being tested on its exclusive ETS servers.

EFT’s New Matchmaking System: What’s Changing?

This issue has been getting on players’ nerves for so long and they are already frustrated as the matchmaking takes ages, ruining the gaming experience. The long waiting occurs in special events like “Wipe” where it is uncommon to stay in the queue for 10-15 minutes just to join a single match.

Let’s not miss out on the additional delays caused by server syncing, map loading, and loot generation. Moreover, technical issues add more fuel to the fire- players sometimes get disconnected or the loading screens get frozen, especially during “Scav Raids mode”.

These hindrances have even pushed many players toward EFT’s PvE modes, which load in a fraction of the time.  The announcement is made through X post, revealing the new systems’ intended aim,

“The main goal of the new system is to reduce the raid search time in Escape from Tarkov and matchmaking in EFT: Arena, as well as to reduce the number of errors and disconnects during matchmaking.”

The change sounds promising and assures that players will be able to jump into the matches in no time. Furthermore, it aims to enhance speed and reduce bugs and players will no longer have to stare at the loading screen for so long- that has plagued the game.

Keeping the Excitement Alive

The ETS servers, which recently hosted the Unity 2022 engine update, are now testing these matchmaking improvements. To encourage robust participation, Battlestate extended the popular Halloween zombie event exclusively for ETS users. They said,

“To maintain interest in testing, we decided to keep Halloween with Zombies in the game.”

Fans are eagerly waiting to see the results of this revamped matchmaking system, offering smooth and distortions-free gameplay. They appreciate developers for taking care of their concerns and bringing quality improvements.
