Awards season often involves stars taking a trip to London for the BAFTAs, but not long after, there’s another huge event celebrating the year’s music.

The BRITs is about to return for 2025, recognising the best music to come out of the UK and elsewhere in the last year.

Between the awards there’ll also be plenty of exciting performances, including from Sabrina Carpenter and viral sensation Teddy Swims.

Where and when are the BRITs taking place?

The ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 1, at its usual home of The O2 Arena. The BRITs has taken place there, with tables for guests on the floor and paying public in the seats, since 2011.

Who is hosting?

Comedian Jack Whitehall is back once again to host. This’ll be his fifth year hosting after previously doing between 2018 and 2021.

Upon the announcement, he said: “They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that is absolutely the case with The BRIT Awards – it is my favourite night of the year, and I am delighted to be invited back to host in 2025.”

Have the nominations been revealed?

Yes – they were announced on January 23.

Unsurprisingly after the success of Brat summer, Charli XCX landed the most nominations, with a total of five. She’s up for five categories including Artist Of The Year, Pop Act and Dance Act. Charli could also win Song Of The Year for Guess featuring Billie Eilish and Brat is nominated for Mastercard Album Of The Year.

Dua Lipa, The Last Dinner Party and Ezra Collective follow closely behind with four nominations each. Myles Smith, meanwhile, received three and has already won the Rising Star award.

The Cure also landed three nominations, their first nods at the BRITS for 30 years. Meanwhile, The Beatles earned their first nomination since 1977 for their ‘last’ song Now and Then.

Sabrina Carpenter‘s likely bringing the biggest performance of the night in celebration of her getting the Global Success award.

The other performers include JADE, Myles Smith, Shaboozey, The Last Dinner Party and Teddy Swims. Sam Fender and Lola Young have also been confirmed to perform.

What else can we expect from the show?

It’s anticipated that the BRITs will pay tribute to the late Liam Payne, who died in October at the age of 31.

However, we already know that his One Direction bandmates won’t be part of the tribute. We don’t know what form it’ll take but it mazy be on Whitehall to lead it.
