It was the cultural phenomenon that swept the globe.

But bid farewell to lime green – because ‘Brat summer’ is officially over.

The phrase was brought to our attention when British singer Charli XCX released her sixth studio album of the same name on June 7.

The record brought the star a string of hits – including the track Guess, a collaboration with Billie Eilish that reached number one in the UK singles charts – and debuted in the third spot on the Billboard 200, with 77,000 album-equivalent units sold on its opening week.

The album also made its way to the 2024 presidential election, after Kamala Harris used the song 365 in her social media campaign, and Charli XCX posted to Twitter/X, “Kamala IS Brat.”

However, now September has rolled around, Charli XCX, 32 – whose real name is Charlotte Aitchison – is drawing a line under her season of success.

“Goodbye forever brat summer,” she told her 3.7 million Twitter followers.

While fans were understandably disappointed that their party shenanigans must now stop, they did recognize that all good things must come to an end – but not before sharing some very funny memes first.

Here’s the best that Pubity.com could find…
