Sabrina Carpenter fans are not happy. The singer is currently on her popular Short N’ Sweet world tour. Carpenter previously performed in Glasgow. On her Instagram Stories, the singer told fans she was “sick like [a] dog” but “can’t wait” for Glasgow.

Fans online were scared Carpenter would cancel her upcoming shows in Manchester and then Paris because of the UK cold. Yes, it is March over there, but it’s not very warm yet – spring hasn’t sprung!

On tour, many of Carpenter’s costumes are short and sweet (see what we did there), so she could easily get sick in the UK. However, it has gotten to the point where fans online have warned her not to tour the UK in winter. Carpenter’s fans feared for their favorite singer. The fear is real among the girlies, and we can’t blame them.

Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet Tour began in September 2024 in Columbus Ohio. Since then, the blonde beauty has been touring the globe. In a post that went viral, her fans warned her about touring the UK in winter – but what did the post say?

A fan of Carpenter’s posted a screenshot on X of the singing from her stories that warned fans she was sick ahead of performing in Glasgow on 11 March.

The fan wrote: “STOP TOURING UK/EU IN WINTER.” In the next slide, they posted a photo of a handwritten note by Gracie Abrams addressed to fans when she had to cancel her Nottingham and Leeds show after “struggling with this illness”.

Abrams canceled two of her UK shows in early March 2025 and Carpenter’s fans didn’t want her to go down that same path. However, fans in the comments were confused by the possibility that the singer could get sick in the UK even in mid-March.

Some argued about when spring starts, while others shared their experience of living in Europe and the UK during winter or early spring. Who can even keep track of what season we are in?

The debate of the seasons

One fan wrote, “It’s March……we’re in spring…. It’s not cold”.

Another user responded directly to that comment in confusion. They wrote: “‘It’s March, we’re in spring'” You have never lived one day in the UK because I promise you it doesn’t CARE what season it is It literally snowed in April at one point also, if it was spring the trees would be growing with leaves but they are literally still bare…”

Another fan countered, “It’s pissing rain and we have currently barely 9 degrees here.” For those wondering, nine degrees is 48.2 Fahrenheit.

One fan acknowledged that although it gets warmer in spring, the weather changes frequently.

When is spring? Sabrina Carpenter fans weigh in

This debate continued on the X post. A user argued that spring doesn’t officially start “for another 10 days”. The official date believed for the start of spring is 21 March, but fans couldn’t seem to agree on that.

Another one of Carpenter’s fans agreed with when spring comes and argued that it was still cold.

Meanwhile, another user argued it was “still cold and flu season,” deducing that Carpenter could still get sick performing.

A European traveler weighed in and said it was the same cold weather across the board. They wrote: “do not know what Europe ur in but I’ve been to 5 countries the past few weeks and it’s been cold in every single one.”

Has Sabrina Carpenter canceled any shows yet?

At the time of writing, the Bed Chem singer thankfully hasn’t canceled any more shows. If she’s scared of the UK cold she won’t have to worry much longer, as she has two shows left in Manchester on 13 and 14 March. Then she will travel to Paris to perform on 16 March to continue the European leg of her tour.

Stay tuned for any updates on Carpenter and her tour dates.
