After dropping in late December, the show left many wondering what might happen in Squid Game season 3. Now, Ha-joon has shared his thoughts on what he’d like to see in a sure-to-be-tense confrontation in an upcoming episode.

Will Hwang Jun ho meet The Front Man in Squid Game season 3?

During a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Ha-joon explained that he’d love to see Jun-ho come face-to-face with his killer brother The Front Man in Squid Game season 3.

In fact, he even teased what kind of emotions would underpin such a climactic moment. All this, despite it not yet being confirmed by series director and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk.

“If there was to be such a reunion, then Hwang Jun-ho would surely go through a lot of indescribable emotions such as sadness, anger and also happiness,” he told the outlet, imagining what that kind of intense moment would entail.

The Front Man is better known as Hwang In-ho. He was a respected police officer before finding himself inside a previous iteration of the Squid Game. After emerging victorious but unable to use his financial winnings to fix his personal problems, In-ho became the show’s masked overseer, charged with ensuring it runs smoothly.

He’s also the brother of currently police officer Jun-ho – but he doesn’t know that his sibling is still alive.

Elsewhere in the same chat, Ha-joon emphasies with viewer frustrations at his character’s lack of progress in Squid Game season 2.

However, he also assured fans that it would all be worth it – promising bigger things for Jun-ho in Squid Game season 3.

“I do understand from the audience’s point of view, it might have been frustrating and it looked like I was just going in circles. But for me — since I had the whole narrative in mind already — it wasn’t so difficult. In season three, my purpose and my arc will be fully unraveled, so please stay tuned!”

Viewers won’t have too long to wait before they find out if he’s made good on his promise. Squid Game season 3 will hit Netflix worldwide on 27 June 2025.
