As the world continues to wait for Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar Games could be giving its fans a treat in the meantime by released a remastered version of its iconic school-themed game Bully.

Much loved game

Gamers have been wanting the much-loved game, originally released nearly 20 years ago, to reappear on new consoles for years, but now speculation is rife that it is about to happen.

Bully has recently been rated for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in Taiwan, which is often an indication that a new release is coming.

However, details on what the remaster will look like have yet to be confirmed, but it is likely that the visuals will be enhanced.

Million seller

Bully was a hit when it was released in 2006 for PlayStation 2. It was later remastered for Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Windows and released in 2008. The third-person game is open world and set in the fictional town of Bullworth, where Jimmy Hopkins, a juvenile delinquent, has been forcibly enrolled at the Bullworth Academy boarding school for a year. The aim of the game is, playing as Jimmy, to ascend the ranks of the school system and put an end to bullying in the school – while also completing various side quests.

The original version of Bully sold more than 1.5 million copies and won numerous awards, despite controversy at its launch about the violence contained in it.

But now Bully is coming out and will likely be enjoyed by a new generation, speculation is rising that there could finally be a sequel – something else gamers have been asking for for many years.

Meanwhile, Rockstar Games have yet to provide any further updates or trailers for GTA 6 – fans will have to wait a while longer for another.
