This is not the first time Obama and his wife Michelle have faced rumors of divorce and infidelity. Obama’s wife’s decision to skip the funeral of Jimmy Carter in early January 2025 and the presidential inauguration in late January 2025 have sparked rumors of divorce. The 44th president was in attendance at both events, as were the wives of former presidents like Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary.

Just that, they are simply rumors! The viral rumor came from a post on X, which claimed Aniston admitted the affair to someone in her inner circle.

The allegedly quote from the ‘source’ or Aniston’s ‘friend’ said: “He’s with Jennifer Aniston. My old manager, now a friend, is connected to her inner circle. At a gathering with Jennifer’s friends, the affair came up casually—Jennifer herself admitted it. They were sitting with a psychic, which makes it sound surreal, but it’s definitely not a secret among her closest friends.”
Sources in Washington DC, political circles, and Aninston’s inner circle reportedly confirmed the rumor. However, this is simply unverified, because nobody has confirmed that the Obamas are getting divorced. Nor that the actress dating him or anybody else. The 55-year-old had her last public relationship in 2011 with Justin Theroux, the couple divorced in 2018. Previously she had a highly-publicized relationship with actor Brad Pitt from 1998 until 2005.
Has Aniston reacted to the rumor?
Surprisingly there was a response to the Aniston and Obama dating rumors from the actress. In October 2024, she responded to stories about herself on Jimmy Kimmel Live. In an interview where she was responding to tabloid rumors about herself, Kimmel showed her an In Touch Magazine cover. The cover read: “The Truth About Jen and Barack!”
An excerpt: “Michelle betrayed as Aniston steals her husband’s attention,” Another source claimed that Aniston and Obama are “obsessed with each other.”
Sources claimed the two were getting close and that Aniston was “getting very political”, a.k.a close to the former president. “Heʼs gone Hollywood, so heʼs now in Jenʼs world. He has production deals going [with Netflix]. They have found they have a lot in common — and are talking more and more,” the source claimed.
To the bizarre magazine cover, Aniston responded jokingly. “Of all the calls you get from your publicist where you’re like, ‘Oh no, what’s it gonna be?’ Or the emails saying some cheesy tabloid’s going to make up a story and then it’s that,” she said to the late-night show host.
Kimmel asked Aniston if there was “any truth to [the story]”, to which she replied, “No that is absolutely untrue.”
She claimed she had “met him once” and knew “Michelle more than him,” having been photographed with her before.

Has Obama responded to the rumors?
Currently, Obama himself has not responded to the dating or affair rumors. The Obamas have faced rumors of alleged affairs and divorce since 2013, the National Enquirer reported in 2013 that their marriage had ended, although they have remained married.
However, Obama recently proclaimed his love for his wife. On her birthday, he wrote a sweet message to her on Instagram.
Sharing a photo of the two holding hands across the table, he wrote: “Happy birthday to the love of my life, @MichelleObama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it. I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you!”
There isn’t any truth to this story, at least according to Aniston. It’s strange that these rumors come from nowhere and aren’t sustained, but that’s social media and Hollywood for you!
