Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are getting divorced after ten years of marriage.
The couple tied the knot in 2014 after first getting together in 2010. During their relationship, Simpson and Johnson welcomed three kids: Maxwell, Ace and Drew.
“Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson told PEOPLE magazine. “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”

Had there been signs there were martial problems?
Johnson was spotted without his wedding ring back in November. Alongside this, Simpson recently posted a picture on Instagram of herself with the caption, “Life is short. SMILE while you still have teeth,” with the winking face emoji.
A source later told PEOPLE that the two “very much live separate lives”.

Is Jessica Simpson getting back into music?
On Instagram, Simpson implied that she might be making a “comeback” to her pop career. In the 00s, she had a string of hits like With You, I Wanna Love You Forever and Public Affair.
She also detailed the poor treatment from the press, her management and her father in her 2020 memoir Open Book.
She wrote on the photo-sharing app, “Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic. This comeback is personal. It’s an apology for myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”
Simpson was once lauded as a ‘dumb blonde’ figure after she and her ex-husband Nick Lachey starred in the MTV reality show, Newlyweds.
In 2023, Simpson also spoke about the possibility of new music.
She told Bustle, “I’m doing this as a mother now, as a wife. I was a wife last time, but this is a very different marriage, and they’ve never seen me do this.”
