Calling it a “slow burner thriller series,” the platform describes the show as following a “ne’er-do-well whose fate becomes tied to ruthless criminals out for blood — and a few innocent people who get caught up in a web of questionable decisions.”
Among its ensemble cast is someone fans may recognize – Squid Game actor Park Hae-soo – but who did he play in that groundbreaking series?
Let’s take a look.
Who did Park Hae-soo play in Squid Game?

In Karma, Squid Game star Park Hae-soo plays a character known as Kim Beom-jun AKA the Witness. Across the show’s six episodes, we watch as he gets drawn into a dark plan orchestrated by a man keen to settle his extensive debts.
Hae-soo may be familiar to fans already. He played Cho Sang-woo in Squid Game’s first season. Also known as Player 218, Sang-woo is introduced to viewers as a childhood friend of series hero Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae).
Growing up, he became a successful investment banker before losing everything and entering the Squid Game. Once inside, he reconnects with his old friend Gi-hun and together, the pair make it all the way to the final.
During the season’s climactic moment, the pair are pitted against each other and forced to make a nail biting decision. Unfortunately, the choice is taken out of their hands with Gi-hun ultimately winning the game.
