What happened to the live action Powerpuff girls movie?

Joining Bennet, Cameron and Perrault in Powderpuff was Scrubs star Donald Faison as their father figure and creator Professor Utonium. Spongebob voice actor Tom Kenny was also confirmed to narrate the series, just like he did in the popular Cartoon Network cartoon show.
Despite all this work and a pilot being filmed, Powerpuff sadly wasn’t meant to be.
After a couple of studio reshuffles, the show was cancelled in early 2023. A few months later, it was confirmed the show was no longer in active development.

“So….as it turns out….. this was even worse than we imagined it to be,” added another.
“I’m just gonna pretend this is a YouTube skit,” said a third.
However, not every comment was negative. Some seemed keen to see how the series might have panned out.
I actually want to see a full series of this after the trailer. It’s so different from the cartoon and the right kind of car crash TV that I would want to watch just to see what insane thing happened next. It’s like the power puff girls, meets Hancock meets gossip girl.
