Who is Nell Fisher playing in Stranger Things 5? With anticipation for The Duffer Brothers’ new show rising, it’s a question that more and more people want answering.
Stranger Things season 5 will mark the end of one of Netflix’s most popular shows. The final batch of episodes will consist of eight instalments, each of which have been described as “eight blockbuster movies” by their creators.

The Crawl, The Vanishing of ?, The Turnbow Trap, Sorcerer, Shock Jock, Escape From Camazotz, The Bridge and The Rightside Up will all feature in Stranger Things 5. However, we’re still largely in the dark about what the show’s final story will entail.

Nell Fisher Stranger Things season 5 role explained
According to multiple reports, Fisher will be playing Holly Wheeler in Stranger Things season 5. Holly is the younger sister of Mike and Nancy, played by Finn Wolfhard and Natalia Dyer. She’s the youngest child from Ted and Karen Wheeler, characters played by Joe Christ and Cara Buono.
This isn’t the first time Holly has been seen on Stranger Things. She was first introduced in the show’s debut season and was played by twins Anniston and Tinsley Price.
These young actors played Holly throughout Stranger Things second, third and fourth season. However, Fisher will take over the role for season 5, hinting at bigger things to come for this previously-sidelined character.
While exact plot details remain a mystery, some outlets have suggested that Holly could become a target for evil Upside Down baddie Vecna. The recasting of the role makes sense, as we already know that Stranger Things season 5 will take place after a time jump, taking place one year after the events of Stranger Things 4.

Fisher is no stranger to the horror and fantasy genres having already starred in a handful of projects, one of which originated from the brain of Sam Raimi.
In 2023, Fisher appeared in Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise, starring as the youngest daughter of a Deadite-possessed mother played by Alyssa Sutherland.
Since then, Fisher has appeared in Netflix’s 2023 interactive movie Choose Love and 2024 kids adventure movie Bookworm.
