- Nobody Wants This fans were thrilled when it was announced that Leighton Meester is joining the show for season two
- And now the cast have come out in support of the actor – calling her ‘wonderful’ and ‘the greatest’
- Meester’s husband, Adam Brody – who stars as Noah in the rom-com series – also gave his thoughts on being married to his wife

Nobody Wants This is fast becoming one of our favorite shows on TV – so we can’t wait for season two to land on Netflix later this year.
And it’s always heartwarming when you hear that a cast gets along well outside of shooting a series.
Kristen Bell, 44 – who plays agnostic podcaster Joanne in the show – has assured fans that she and her co-stars are incredibly tight… and even have a group chat to keep in contact away from the series!
“To be honest, and annoying to say, but [the dynamic is] always delicious,” explained Bell. “This cast is really close, we have a very active text chain, sometimes too active, a lot of people making jokes.”
However, it’s not just the cast of season one – including Adam Brody, Jackie Tohn and Justine Lupe – who are really close, as the newer actors have also been included.
With shooting on season two set to begin on Monday, March 3, Bell also revealed that Leighton Meester, 38 – who will play momfluencer Abby in the next series – is also in the chat.
“And, I mean, folding Leighton into it just seems natural and wonderful,” added Bell.
Jackie Tohn also praises Nobody Wants This star Leighton Meester

Bell isn’t the only cast member to sing the praises of Meester, though.
Tohn – who plays Noah’s sister-in-law Esther in the show – had only lovely things to say about Meester, who is also Brody’s wife of 14 years.
“Leighton is the greatest,” admitted Tohn, 44. “She’s as charming and funny as she is beautiful and talented, so it’s this cool thing.
“I hadn’t met her until Nobody Wants This so I met her through Adam. We’re in a big city and people meet other actors, but I’ve never come across Leighton.”
Adam Brody says it is ‘lovely’ to be married to Leighton Meester

And, of course, Brody himself is thrilled to be working with his wife – and told The Hollywood Reporter that it is “lovely” being married to her.
When asked if it is “weird being constantly dubbed relationship goals”, Brody had the perfect reply.
“No, what an honor,” he said. “What an honor. I mean, you only know what you see, but it’s lovely to be married to her.
“So I am incredibly lucky, and everyone should be so lucky.”
Brody, 45, went on to open up about his wife’s role on the show.
“How did it come about? I don’t know, they’re big fans of hers [Leighton’s] and she’s a big fan of the show – so let’s consecrate it!” he laughed.
