- Oasis reunited this week after being broken up for 15 years
- The Gallagher brothers have put their rivalry behind them for 17 huge shows in the UK and Ireland
- Keeping the peace between the Gallaghers could be tricky

The Gallagher brothers may have called a truce and decided to get the band back together after 15 years apart, but not everyone is convinced the sibling rivalry between the pair can last for the duration of the Oasis reunion. So take pitty on their tour manager, who is basically going to double as the pair’s dad for a few months, sending the pair to their respective (dressing) rooms after each argument or fist fight.
Liam and Noel announced a 14 date UK and Ireland tour this past Tuesday (August 27), kicking off with two gigs in Cardiff on July 4 and 5. Three extra dates have been added (in Manchester, London and Edinburgh) to the tour due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, despite the on-sale still not being for two days.
But can the brothers Gallagher really keep the peace for the 17 dates (and a potential European and World tour following that)?
They’ve been known to bicker more than rival next door neighbour dads, arguing over who’s hedge is creeping over the other one’s fence and into their garden.
Being that Noel is old enough to be a granddad now and Liam isn’t far behind, maybe, just maybe, their tempers will have simmered slightly, and they’ll be more like dads at the pub, sharing a pint or two after taking in a Manchester City game together.
The original break up of Oasis came before they were due to go on stage at Rock En Seine festival in Paris, in 2009. There were stories of a smashed guitar, among other carnage, that leaked out in the following weeks and months, with Noel releasing a statement saying that he could no longer continue being in a band with Liam.
Over the years, the pair had numerous high profile fallings out, with Noel once leaving a US tour after one particularly volatile argument, meaning the rest of the band had to carry on without him for the remaining dates.
Infamously, one of the Gallaghers innumerable arguments was captured for posterity and leaked online, entitled ‘Wibbling Rivalry’ as the pair were being interviewed by Q Magazine shortly after Liam had been thrown off a ferry in Amsterdam.

Whether Liam and Noel can co-exist without coming to blows during July and August of next year could determine if there are any future tours after the reunion gigs, next summer. It has been stated that Oasis will not be recording any new music as part of this reunion, however.
