- Beloved Cartoon Network show was confirmed to be returning in June
- Show title could have been leaked – and give indication of what to expect in the show
- Show’s creator as well as original voice actors are on board the project

While we have known that a sequel series to Cartoon Network classic series Regular Show is in the works, little has been known about it – until now.
Potential leak
It has been reported on various sites, including Comic Book.com that Warner Bros Animation may have let the cat out of the bag with its latest job listing. Sites have reported Warner Bros was advertising for an intern post on ‘Regular Show Lost Tapes’ although it seems that the listing has since been amended to remove the reference to the show.
If this is to be the title for the sequel show, then it would give an indication as to its direction. Officially, little has been said, other than it would include some characters from the original series. But if it is ‘lost tapes’ then it indicates that its timeline will be within the original run and will tell stories not yet told.
Regular Show ran for eight seasons on Cartoon Network from 2010-17 and was consistently among the most popular shows on it. The show focused on the misadventures of two 23-year-old slackers, Mordecai, a blue jay, and Rigby, a racoon. They were both groundskeepers at a park but would spend most of their days trying to find ways to slack off and relieve their boredom – often by playing video games – much to the annoyance of their boss, Benson, who was a gumball machine.
Returning voice actors
Recently, Mark Hamill confirmed in panel discussion at the Fan Expo Chicago that he was reprising his role as Skips. As reported by Popverse, Hamill that he had conversations with William Salyers, who voiced Rigby, about coming back and said “There is only one Skips.”
