- Sabrina Carpenter released a deluxe version of her album, Short n’ Sweet, on February 14
- And now the record has leapfrogged to number one for the first time on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart
- Short n’ Sweet has also reached the top spot for its third non-consecutive week in the UK

Sabrina Carpenter has made yet another successful bid for world domination.
Not content with the two Grammy awards she snapped up earlier this month, Carpenter’s sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet has jumped to number one for the first time on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.
Despite releasing the record last August, the pint-sized pop star, 25 – who will perform at the BRIT awards on March 1 – reissued a deluxe version on February 14, containing five additional bonus tracks (including one with Dolly Parton).
In the week ending February 20 in the US, sales of Short n’ Sweet increased by a whopping 616 percent, with fans snapping up 71,000 copies across both the old and new versions.
Short n’ Sweet marks Carpenter’s very first number one on Top Album Sales out of seven total entries on the list.
It also returned to the top spot on the Vinyl Albums chart for a third nonconsecutive week, selling almost 48,000 copies on vinyl.
The 626 percent increase contributed to the huge amount of vinyl sales Short n’ Sweet has claimed. They make up 61 percent of overall sales, with fans purchasing 372,000 vinyls out of the overall 606,000 total.
Sabrina Carpenter also sees album jump to number one in UK

It’s not just the US that is going wild for Carpenter’s album again.
Across the pond, Short n’ Sweet also rocketed to number one again on the Official U.K. Albums Chart.
However, it’s not the first time Short n’ Sweet has held the position – in fact, it’s the third non-consecutive week that the record has hit the top spot.
Upon its initial release, it saw Carpenter become the first female in history to score both the UK’s number one album and single (with Taste) simultaneously.
Short n’ Sweet also landed the second-biggest opening week of 2024 – only being outperformed by The Tortured Poets Department, by Carpenter’s friend and mentor, Taylor Swift.
Fans go wild for Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton’s friendship
While the deluxe version of Short n’ Sweet contains several brand new tracks, fans can’t get enough of the friendship between Carpenter and Parton, 79.
The pair have released a duet of Carpenter’s number one hit, Please Please Please – and have shared several behind the scenes clips from the corresponding music video.
Branding Parton and Carpenter “mother and daughter”, someone else went on, “I LOVE this collab. It makes so much sense.”
Another agreed, “The duet I didn’t know I needed!”
