The internet is going crazy over a ‘new’ song from Sabrina Carpenter – featuring none other than Dolly Parton.

Although the pint-sized pop star, 25, reached number one with her track Please Please Please in 2024, she has now rereleased the song as part of the deluxe version of her album, Short n’ Sweet.

And while there might be a 54-year age-gap between Carpenter and Parton, it seems the pair have met their match – as behind the scenes footage from the corresponding music video shows the two getting on like a house on fire.

In a clip shared to Parton’s TikTok channel (we know, right?!), the singers can be seen joking around together as they shoot the footage.

“We’re in a pick-up truck with big hair… the stars are just really aligning,” Carpenter beams at one point.

In another segment as she sat behind the wheel of the stationary vehicle, Parton quipped, “I never was a great driver… I never even liked driving!”

Of course, fans went wild for the video.

“Y’all are pretty amazing,” complimented one follower in the comments, while another added, “My two favorite blondes!”

Branding Parton and Carpenter “mother and daughter”, someone else went on, “I LOVE this collab. It makes so much sense.”

Another agreed, “The duet I didn’t know I needed!”

As one fan laughed, “I don’t like driving either, Dolly! I get too much road rage,” another continued, “You gals are out of this world! Absolutely stunning and talented beyond belief!!”

And some followers were thrilled to see their idol in action.

“Love this!!! The world needs more people like Dolly,” they said.

Fans think Sabrina Carpenter was trying to make a point with video

Fans went wild at the official video for the remix – but couldn’t help but notice Carpenter may have made a pointed dig at her ex, Barry Keoghan.

Followers will know that Carpenter’s then-boyfriend Keoghan starred in the original Please Please Please video.

Wearing a white vest, the Saltburn actor, 32, calls on his girlfriend to bail him out of jail.

But after the pair split in December over rumors Keoghan cheated, Carpenter has now changed the story’s narrative – as the new video shows her and Parton speeding away in the pick-up truck, with a hooded man in a white vest tied up in the back.

Branding Carpenter “the funniest person ever”, fans took to social media to discuss the video.

“Oh Barry… you’re DUST! Imagine cheating on THEE Sabrina Carpenter!” exclaimed one, while another added, “Oh Barry… you messed with the wrong woman!”

While some said it was always necessary to “read the fine print” – as Carpenter’s lyrics warned her ex of the consequences if he embarrassed her.

“She told him not to embarrass her… Oh well, the DIVA that she is,” laughed one.
