Sabrina Carpenter always knew she was destined for success like this.

The Espresso hitmaker has been grafting at showbiz since she was kid. She has been making her mark in pop for over a decade, releasing more than five albums before her latest LP, Short’N’Sweet.

Despite this nearly veteran status, Carpenter recently got acknowledged in the Best New Artist category at the 67th Grammy Awards.

This career milestone prompted the Feather singer to reflect on her lifetime in the spotlight.

“I’ve always been true to myself and believed in my work since I was young,” she told PEOPLE magazine. “I’ve realized that it’s always been about the small baby steps that you take over time to get you to this point.”

Carpenter called being recognised at the ceremony “such an honour” and a childhood dream come true.

What else did Sabrina Carpenter say about her career highs?

Carpenter recently wrapped the Northern American leg of her Short’N’Sweet tour.

“I can’t wait to see all of my fans in Europe. There are a couple of cities I haven’t been to in a really long time, so I’m excited to see which crowd is the loudest,” she said.

She also gave into her New Year’s Resolution to “be more present” in 2025.

Carpenter continued, “But I’m just happy to see my songs connect with so many people from all walks of life. That’s why I love to write songs.”

Carpenter was the warm-up for the Blank Space hitmaker’s South American, Asian and Australian leg of the record-breaking celebration of her 17-year and counting music career.

She even got to duet with Swift twice during the surprise song section. She first sat with her at the piano for a vulnerable rendition of White Horse in early 2024.

On the Swiftie showcase’s final leg in Canada, Carpenter reappeared for a performance of Espresso with the pop superstar

What awards is she nominated for at the Grammys?
