Taylor Swift is not having a good week, as she has been subpoenaed for the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni trial. However, the star, 35, has been seen out and about for the first time since the news broke.
Lively filed a complaint against her It Ends With Us co-star and the movie’s director, Justin Baldoni, in December 2024. Lively alleges he sexually harassed her, and he launched a smear campaign against her. Meanwhile, Baldoni hit back with a $400 million lawsuit in January 2025, refuting the allegations.
But in his countersuit, his legal team named Swift as a friend of Lively’s and a witness to her behavior. Baldoni’s team also claims that Swift witnessed discussions Baldoni and Lively had about a scene in the film.

Furthermore, his team alleges the 35-year-old, alongside Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds, pressured Baldoni to accept Lively’s revisions of a scene in the film.

Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, 35, were seen out in Philadelphia. Now, back to the statement.
Swift’s lawyers said in a statement, “The statement reads, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history”.
Yikes.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Swift, Kelce, Kelce’s brother Jason, and his wife Kylie Kelce went out for a Mother’s Day lunch with their moms. Swift was papped holding Kelce’s hand as they were seen outside Talula’s Garden in Washington Square, Philadelphia, on 11 May.
For Swift, this is a big deal as it is her first public appearance in two months and the first since the viral subpoena news. Many thought the Fortnight singer may lie low as the news broke, but Tree Paine (Swift’s publicist) is nothing if not calculated regarding her client’s public image.
Kelce, who is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, also had a rare public appearance after being spotted golfing a few weeks ago. Currently, he is in Boca Raton, Florida, working during the NFL off-season.
Why did Taylor and Travis go quiet?
Sources said that Swift and Kelce were enjoying travelling around for the few months since their busy schedules became more open. The A-list couple have been notoriously lowkey since Swift’s Eras Tour and Kelce’s football season ended. That’s why Swift’s first appearance since a dinner date with her man in March has sparked public discussion.
