While there’s not much we know for sure about the reasons for the delay, one other eye-catching piece of information has emerged.

What do we already know about The Batman – Part 2?

Few details about the film’s plot have emerged as of yet as The Batman -Part II is still in the writing stages.
Only a few returning stars have been confirmed to appear in the sequel. These are Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne / Batman, Farrell’s Penguin AKA Oswald Cobblepot, Andy Serkis as Bat-butler Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright as Gotham’s Commissioner Gordon.
Fans will also be hoping to see the return of Dano’s Riddler, the Joker, played briefly by Irish star Barry Keoghan in the first film. Zoë Kravitz’s Catwoman AKA Selina Kyle could also make an appearance.
During an interview with Screen Rant, writer Mattson Tomlin suggested that filming for the sequel was on track to begin in 2025.
Meanwhile, Pattinson has suggested that the planned Bat-trilogy could be his final acting project.
“I could genuinely be retiring by the end of them,” said Pattinson. “Not in a million years did I think I’d still be doing this when I got my first job. I can’t believe this is still going.”
