The White Lotus season 3 episode 2 has features a small cameo appearance from an Academy Award winning actor.

Mike White’s series returned earlier this month. Like the two seasons that preceded it, it follows a group of wealthy tourists on holiday in a luxury hotel chain known as The White Lotus.

Season 3 transports these fat wallet-ed holidaymakers to Bangkok where a relaxing break awaits… well, sort of. Within the first few moments of the show’s return, gunshots were heard ringing out across this peaceful White Lotus.
Who shot them? Well, that’s the mystery at hand.

As if that wasn’t enough, Greg, a sinister face from previous seasons, has also made his presence known. However, he isn’t the only unexpected visitor to The White Lotus.
As confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar winning actor Ke Huy Quan has also checked into The White Lotus for its third outing.
The White Lotus season 3 episode 2 cameo
While not physically present on screen, this week’s episode of The White Lotus season 3 featured a cameo appearance from Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.
The Everything Everywhere All At Once star appeared in audio-form during a phone call with Jason Isaacs’ troubled businessman Timothy.
He’s currently on holiday with his wife Victoria (Parker Posey) and kids Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), Lachlan (Sam Nivola) and Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger).
Each are happily oblivious to a threat that appears to be encroaching on their relaxing escape.
As teased in episode one via a heated phone call, some previous dodgy dealings are about to come back to haunt Timothy. Episode 2 confirmed his worst nightmare during another phone call with his a business colleague named Kenny.
Kenny was played by Quan, with the character telling Timothy that he’s being investigated by the FBI for issues related to money laundering and bribery.
Luckily, Thailand’s White Lotus hotel urges its visitors to stay off their phones, leaving his family in the dark about this impending media storm.
However, this secret surely can’t stay buried forever…
What is Greg doing at The White Lotus?
Big name cameos aside, The White Lotus fans have been trying to figure out what Greg is doing at the resort. The last we saw of this character, played by Jon Gries, he was involved in some shady dealings with some equally shady people.
These resulted in the death of Jennifer Coolidge’s fan-favorite Tanya.
Many believe karma may be after him in White’s latest series.
