Fans of The Witcher series, rejoice! The launch of the 4th installment is no longer just a rumor rather a developing team is working committedly to bring it into reality.

Highly Demanded Saga Takes Shape

CD Projekt Red has officially announced that The Witcher 4, codenamed Project Polaris, has entered full-scale production. Sebastian Kalemba—lead animator at CD Project Red shared this long-awaited news through an X post,

“I’m thrilled to announce that Project Polaris has entered the full-scale production phase! With new challenges just around the corner, it’s the talented and hard-working people who make me believe we can together make the upcoming Witcher Saga a remarkable experience. No stopping now! Stay tuned for what’s on the other side of the coin!”

Moreover, Michał Nowakowski— joint CEO also posted

“Entering the production stage of Polaris is an important step on our path to deliver the game and our long-term strategic goals. Go, Team, Go!”

This marks a major for the long-awaited sequel to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which debuted in 2015 and earned enough fame to become one of the most celebrated RPGs of all time.

Even to date players are giving a review in their favor, mentioning how perfect it is, more like a masterpiece. While this update fuels anticipation, it also casts doubt on earlier rumors of a 2025 release.

New Projects Expand the Witcher Universe

Earlier this month the leaks revealed some intriguing aspects regarding this upcoming saga—the inclusion of Geralt, a new character named Bronko, and about the launch year.

However, given the time-intensive nature of game development and CDPR’s focus on making sure that it is fully polished before players can access it, may push the game’s arrival to 2026.

In addition to Project Polaris, CDPR has two more surprise projects for fans: Canis Majoris— a remake of the original The Witcher, and Project Sirius— offering both single and multiplayer gameplay. Although the road to Witcher 4 is long, fans can stay patient by considering that CD Projekt.
