Well, the Oscar winners have been crowned so the best films of the past 12 months have been officially hand-picked by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
On Sunday, all the biggest Hollywood names got decked out in their finest gladrags and headed to the Dolby Theatre. Like usual, there were tears, cameras, performances, and gowns at the Conan O’Brien-hosted event. Most importantly, there were Oscar winners! The Only Girl In The Orchestra, the Documentary Short winner, tells the story of double bassist Orin O’Brien becoming the first woman to join Leonard Bernstein’s New York Philharmonic in 1966 and is currently on Netflix.
The Substance was celebrated for its styling and makeup
Taking home Best Makeup and Hairstyling, The Substance – which starred Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley – marked the first Oscar for the Mubi, where you can now catch the horror film.
Anora was the undisputed biggest winner of the night
