Actor Harris Dickinson gained fame recently when he starred in the erotic thriller Babygirl, but many more people will soon know his name. Dickinson is set to star as John Lennon in the upcoming biopic movie series of The Beatles. He will star alongside Paul Mescal and some other hot young stars.

There will be four biopics that Sam Mendes will direct. The cast announcement was made on 31 March, and fans had a mixed reaction to the casting. Some argued that the men look nothing like The Beatles, which sparked reactions on X. The series of films is called The Beatles – A Four Film Cinematic Event.
Of the movie, Mendes said: “It’s a chance to understand them more deeply”. The movies will not be released until April 2028, probably because of the time frame it will take to film. Dickinson was born on 24 June 1996 at Whipps Cross Hospital in East London. He dropped out of school at age 17, where he was studying acting and the theatre. Strangely, the young actor almost left acting for a career in the Marines but stayed to pursue acting.

He made his television debut in the 2014 comedy show Some Girls. In 2016, Dickinson was cast in one of his first roles in a film called Beach Rats. He played the role of a man struggling with his sexuality. In 2018, he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead for the role. In the same year, he starred in the FX series Trust, and he later starred in The Darkest Minds in 2019.
Although he didn’t get his big break straightaway, Dickinson starred in the third Kingsman film, The Kingsman. He also co-starred alongside Rachel Zegler in Where the Crawdads Sing. In 2023, he starred in A Murder at the End of the World. Continuing the year, he starred in Scrapper and later The Iron Claw.
Moving into 2024, Dickinson had a supporting role in the drama Blitz. Then he had one of his biggest roles to date as Samuel, a man in a workplace who becomes entangled in an NSFW relationship with a company CEO.
Dickinson is also making his directional debut writing the film Urchin. As of March 2025, his next biggest role will be in the Beatles biopic movies.
