Who is Mikey Madison?
Mikaela Madison Rosberg was born in Los Angeles and raised in the San Fernando Valley. The actress was born in 1998 or 1999, there is not a definitive year online! She has a twin brother and two sisters. The Anora star is Jewish and had ambitions of becoming a professional horseback rider as a little girl. However, she changed her mind and began working towards acting when she was 14 years old.
Mikey Madison’s early career
Her career began acting in short films, and her first two were Retirement and Pani’s Box. Three years later in 2017, Madison made her feature film debut in Liza, Liza Skies Are Grey.
One of her first long roles was on the FX comedy-drama Better Things, where she played Max Fox, a sulky teenager and the oldest daughter of Sam Fox (Pamela Adlon). Madison’s role lasted for the show’s entire run, from 2016 until 2022.
In 2018 she appeared in two films, Monster and Nostalgia, both were dramas.
Breakthrough role
Beginning to gain widespread recognition, Madison earned even further fame from playing Manson family member Susan ‘Sadie’ Atkins in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Notably the same year she did some voice-acting work for the animated version of The Addams Family.
In 2020, Madison was cast in the slasher franchise Scream in Scream 5 where she played Amber Freeman. Her performance in Scream 5 was praised by critics and made people recognize her more. 2024 – The success of Anora and Mikey Madison and her Oscar
She continued to act into 2024. Madison had a supporting role in the miniseries Lady in the Lake. In 2024, she was cast by Sean Baker in her starring role, Anora. Specifically, Anora was written for Madison because of her performance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. For the role, she won a BAFTA Award for Best Actress In a Leading Role as well as an Oscar.
