Beauty In Black has recently dropped the second part of its first season on Netflix and with it some fresh faces like Tamera Kissen.
The actress now plays Body in the Tyler Perry-created television series on the streaming service. She stars alongside Crystle Stewart, Taylor Polidore, Xavier Smalls and others.
However, Kissen has made a name for herself before she appeared in the streaming giant’s offering. She was confirmed as an addition back in May 2024 via Deadline.
Keen for more, the showrunner confirmed that a second season was coming.

Tamera Kissen was a comedian before starring in Black In Beauty
Under her stage name, Tee, Kissen appeared on the 12th season of the long-running comedy show Wild ‘ n ‘ Out on MTV.
Before Beauty In Black, Kissen snagged many other roles
The rapper starred in the 2023 remake of White Men Can’t Jump as Sheila. The Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes roles from the 1992 original were played by rapper Jack Harlow and Sinqua Walls.
Before that, Kissen played Shauna in the film Summer With the Guys.
A decade ago, she appeared in five episodes of the parody Real Husbands of Hollywood. The Kevin Hart creation featured the comedian and the acting talent of Duane Martin and Nick Cannon.
She is a rapper
The actress boasts a number of songs under her belt. Her most recent offering is the song Bad, which is available to stream on all platforms.
She has a YouTube channel called Tee
Kissen boasts over 500,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, simply named Tee. On there, she showcases her music career, vlogs her life and delivers up piping Hot Tee.

What is Beauty In Black about?
The show follows a stripper and how her life changes when she comes into contact with a wealthy Atlanta family who runs a beauty and cosmetics company and their more nefarious activity. It is Neflix’s fourth most-watched show, according to their official viewing data.
“The hair-care business here is huge, [and Atlanta club] Magic City is huge, and I was like, ‘What happened if those worlds collided — the stripper world and this hair-care business?’ ” Perry told Netflix’s Tudum.
The creator added that the message of the show is to “never ever underestimate the power of the underdog.”
