The White Lotus alum Murray Bartlett is “super excited” for the HBO show’s third season.
The actor, who appeared in the 2021 original run of the show when it was set at the titular hotel chain’s Hawaii location, praised getting to play the hotel manager, Armond. He also lauded its creator, Mike White, as a “genius”.
“I love that show. I loved being a part of it. I love that people love it. I’m really excited for the third season. I feel like it’s going to be amazing. It’s an incredible cast, and I think Mike White’s a genius,” Bartlett told The Hollywood Reporter.
He continued, “He gifted me this sort of different period of my life where I have some choices, and I’m working with wonderful people on things that I really love. I will always be grateful to him for that.”
What did Murray Barlett do after?
After Armond’s death ruled him out of returning to the show’s second season, Bartlett cemented his HBO star status with his stint in The Last of Us. The Emmy winner starred as Frank opposite Nick Offerman’s Bill.
In the video game adaption, the pair played a couple who fell in love sheltering from the ongoing zombie apocalypse. Audiences were brought to tears by their side-by-side death when Bill opted to take his own life following Frank getting bitten by one of the infected.
