The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood admitted that she had made peace with having various mental illnesses amid the promo for the third instalment of the hotly anticipated television series.
The Sex Education star opened up about playing Chelsea, the much younger girlfriend of Walter Goggins’ character Rick, in the third season of the HBO series. It is set to debut on Sunday, 16 February, at 9 pm EST/PST.

“I am someone who has so many f****** mental illnesses, and there’s nothing wrong with being mentally ill,” Wood told Elle UK.
What else did Aimee Lou reveal about filming for The White Lotus?
Wood detailed how she felt “claustrophobic” living and filming in the same hotel on the Thai island of Koh Samui. She went on to explain that what stopped her from going “mad” was her fellow castmates. These include Posey Parker, Jason Isaacs and Bridget Monaghan, to name a few.
Wood told the magazine, “If we didn’t have each other, we would all have gone mad. “

“Because we were so far away from home and everyone was homesick, and it’s so claustrophobic because you film where you live.
“There’s no separation, you walk out and you’re on set. Filming in a hotel, living in a hotel, like you become a White Lotus guest, you actually do.
She admitted it was all “so meta” as it was hard to tell what was the show and what wasn’t after awhile.

“It became so meta. There were times when we’d be out for dinner and someone would start accidentally, verbatim, saying their lines from the show. It all became so merged and so confused.”
What did she say about her character
Details about the upcoming season have been kept largely under wraps, but Wood shared that she will showcase her Manucian roots after they preferred her hometown twang to her attempt at an American accent.
My character was meant to be American, and then I did a self-tape, one in an American accent and one in my own,” she told the fashion bible. “They were like, ‘Yeah, we want your own voice,’ so my character is going to be from Manchester!”
