After Margaret Qualley appeared in a James Bond tribute during the Oscars, fans are rooting for her to become the next Bond girl.
After an introduction by Halle Berry, the performance saw Qualley dancing with a succession of dancers in tuxedos to a medley of famous Bond themes.

BLACKPINK’s Lisa sang Live and Let Die by Wings, Doja Cat performed Diamonds Are Forever, which was originally performed by Shirley Bassey, and Raye took on Skyfall by Adele.
It came with prescient timing given the shock announcement recently that the Broccoli family would no longer have control of the franchise. Amazon/MGM Studios have now taken over.

Fans watching loved Qualley’s performance, so much so that they suggested she could be the next Bond girl. Some even went a step further and said they wanted to see her as 007.
“Well now Margaret Qualley has to be the next Bond girl,” one X/Twitter user declared.

Who could be the next 007?
Now Amazon/MGM has total creative control, the direction of the franchise could be different from what we’d expect.
There’s a couple of main criteria for choosing the actor who will fill Daniel Craig;’s shoes. They must be a British man and young enough to stay in the role for at least 15 years. It doesn’t mean they have to be young as such – Craig was in his early fifties for his last James Bond film, No Time To Die.
Some suggestions for the role include Andrew Scott, Aidan Turner, Barry Keoghan or Lucien Laviscount.
