- The White Lotus hotel in Thailand has seen a surge of bookings
- Koi Samuh Four Seasons is sold-out for months thanks to the HBO show
- Day passes to the pool are also going for thousands of dollars

The White Lotus is a pop culture phenomenon with its satire of the wealthy on holiday in far-flung exotic destinations.
For its third season, the HBO production jetted to Thailand with a cast of Walton Goggins, Parker Posey, Leslie Bibb and many others. Like usual, the hotel it is set in, the Koi Samuh Four Seasons, is all booked out for the foreseeable future thanks to the Mike White-created show.
While fans might struggle to get a room, they can still potentially get a pass to lounge around the pool like Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood). For a cool £150 you can be like your favourite hotel guests. No guarantee of a sexy butler to have a crisis of your marriage with though. It is a much more affordable option as a bog standard villa will cost you £2,000 a night. The most luxury options goes all the way up to £20,000/

What have local businesses been saying?
Local businesses have been seeing and feeling the impact of the star-studded legacy the show has left despite never having heard of the show before. It first debuted back in 2021 with a setting of Maui. The follow-up season was filmed in Sicily.
“Lots of customers want to know if any actors came into the shop, and some have even asked for specific clothes saying that they want to dress in the way they do on the show. I must admit that I’d never heard of White Lotus until they came here to film,” Retail worker Bindia Simkhada told the Mail Online.

What has Koi Samui said about the White Lotus tourism surge?
The island’s tourism board has been incredibly grateful to the production for making it the next hotspot. According to local data, hotel bookings have jumped up by 44 per cent.

A rep from the Koi Samui department of tourism told the same outlet, “We have never seen such interest in tourism in our island and we have White Lotus to thank for that. But it’s not just expensive hotels that are benefiting, the whole of the island is as other parts of Thailand.”
