You might like to give gifts to your friends – especially if they have gone out of their way to help you – but a brand new car? That is next-level stuff – and just what content creator Logan Paul has gifted to his buddy IShowSpeed.
A TikTok video has gone viral of the moment that Paul revealed to IShowSpeed just what his present was – a Tesla Cybertruck, worth about $80,000.
But why did Paul give such a generous gift? It was his ‘thank you’ to IShowSpeed for his involvement in the recent WWE WrestleMania event in Philadelphia.
At Wrestlemania, Paul defended his US Championship belt after emerging victorious in a bout with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens – but IShowSpeed played a part in his friend’s victory. IShowSpeed turned up ringside dressed in a Prime costume – Prime being the drink brand Paul co-founded – and intervened just as Paul was about to be kicked in the head.
IShowSpeed then paid for his intervention in spectacular style, with Randy Orton performing an RKO move on him that slammed him into a platform. IShowSpeed was pictured on Instagram after the bout wearing a protective collar around his neck, but suffered no lasting damage.
The Cybertruck Paul gifted had been customised with a distinctive black wrap – apparently a nod to the recent solar eclipse in the US.
The TikTok video shows IShowSpeed’s stunned reaction to the gift – he says: “You gotta be lying, bro!”
Later in the video he is shown behind the wheel of the Cybertruck – which has been available in the US since last November – marvelling at its capabilities.
