They’re currently two of the biggest names in the charts.

And now friends Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan have delighted fans in a new video.

Filming the skit before Rodrigo’s gig in LA, the pair jumped on the viral ‘I hope she plays’ TikTok trend.

After being counted in by Roan, Rodrigo, 21, can be heard musing, “I hope she plays HOT TO GO!” – one of her pal’s songs, which is currently sitting at number 16 on the Billboard charts.

Roan, 26, replies, “This is an Olivia Rodrigo concert, b****.”

But lo and behold, fans were in for a treat – as the clip then cuts to the pair performing the track together on stage!

Introducing her friend, Rodrigo said, “I have a special surprise guest for you tonight. I’m so excited I’ve got butterflies in my stomach.

“I’ve known this next artist for about 4 years now, and 2 years ago, she actually opened for me at the Sour tour in San Francisco. And I was so lucky to have her open for me for a lot of the Guts world tour dates earlier this year.”

She continued, “I absolutely adore her. I think she is one of the most singular, inspiring, powerful artists I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

“And I’m so excited, because she’s gonna sing one of my favorite songs of all time with you tonight.”

Roan addresses ‘weird’ fans

Elsewhere, Roan called out some fans for their “weird” behavior.

In two TikTok videos, the Good Luck, Babe! singer addressed how some people were “stalking” her and her loved ones due to her meteoric rise to fame.

“If you saw a random woman on the street, would you yell at her from your car window? Would you harass her in public? Would you go up to a random lady and say, ‘Can I take a photo with you?’ and she says ‘No, what the f***?’ and then you get mad at this random lady?” she said.

“I don’t care that this crazy type of behavior comes along with the job, the career field I’ve chosen. That does not make it OK, that doesn’t make it normal. That doesn’t mean that I want it, that doesn’t mean that I like it.”
