Ariana Grande has revealed a release date for the deluxe version of her album, Eternal Sunshine, and fans are hyped! Grande released her seventh studio album last year. The album followed her public divorce and breakup with real estate agent Dalton Gomez. Grande found herself in hot water when rumors swirled she had an affair with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, who she’s been dating for a while now.

The concept of Eternal Sunshine was based on Jim Carey’s 2004 film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. In the movie, Carey’s character Joel discovers his girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) has erased her memories of him. He decides to do the same, only realizing when he is going to have the procedure done that he loves his girlfriend. In her music video for We Can’t Be Friends, Grande mimics the procedure in the movie.
Hints for the album began to appear, a video of belongings being burnt from the We Can’t Be Friends video, and there is a presave link for esdeluxe on music streaming platforms, which always hints at an upcoming album!

When is Ariana Grande releasing the Eternal Sunshine deluxe?
On her Instagram, Grande posted a photo and revealed the release date. She revealed it is 28 March. The photo shows a levitating Grande near a dark background, being lifted into a small area of light.
In her caption, she wrote: “Eternal Sunshine deluxe ♡ 📦 3.28”.
The release of Eternal Sunshine Deluxe comes a year after the album’s release on 8 March 2024. Grande wished her fans “happy one year of Eternal Sunshine” in a separate Instagram post.
Grande has been busy this year, she starred in two Wicked movies as Glinda the Good Witch. All award season Grande has been with her co-stars since Wicked was nominated for multiple awards. At the recent 2025 Oscars, Wicked won five awards. However, Grande did not receive any awards, but she and her co-star Cynthia Erivo, who played Elphaba, performed at the ceremony.
When was Eternal Sunshine supposed to come out?
Many Arianators thought Grande was going to release Eternal Sunshine sooner. She confirmed the album’s existence in a January 2025 interview. She confirmed it in an interview with the Awards Circuit Podcast, where she said, “Oh, she exists!”
On releasing the album, Grande said: “It’s a very special project. I’m out there so much right now. I want to let my children miss me for two seconds. I’m excited to surprise them with it at some point, but I’m still mulling over the timing in my head. It’s not the end of ‘Peaches’ just yet, but she’s going in the closet for a minute.”
Well two months later and here she is!
In the same interview, she also said she had “considered a mini tour,” but was focused on Wicked.
Now we have a release date, and although there is no tracklist yet, Grande will probably release them in the next few days!
