- Two dogs with a 3-foot size difference became friends
- Reginald the Great Dane is 3ft, 3 inches tall, Pearl the Chihuahua is 3.6 inches tall
- The two dogs are Guinness World Record Holders and met for the first time

A record-breaking doggie playdate happened recently. Pearl, the four-year-old Chihuahua, met seven-year-old Reginald (Reggie for short), the huge Great Dane, for a play date for Guinness World Record holders. These dogs with a 3-foot size difference are stars!
Pearl is only 3.6 inches tall. However, Reginald is 3 feet and 3 inches. No doubt he towers over the pint-size princess.
Despite their huge size difference, the doggies got on like a house on fire. Pictured together, the white Chihuahua and the grey and black Great Dane look happy as ever on their puppy play date.

What happened with the Dogs with a 3-foot size difference?
In Idaho, at Reggie’s home, the pups met up for their playdate. Pearl, from Florida, enjoyed the event, which Guinness World Records helped set up.
Of the meet-up, Reggie’s owner, Sam Johnson, said, “Obviously, bringing the smallest dog in the world with the tallest dog in the world, there was a little bit of anxiety.”
Johnson also said that Reggie was “very kind to Pearl” and he did not need to worry about him because he’s “very cautious and aware”.
Also, Pearl’s owner, Vanessa Semler, spoke about her prized pooch. “When Pearl meets bigger dogs, she is really friendly. I think she has no idea she is a small dog. I think… he was trying to be careful around her, so I think that may be the main reason he wanted to stay away because he was really, you know, gentle with her,” the proud owner said.
Semler praised Reggie, describing him as “loving and caring”.
Miracle Milly, the other dog
Incredibly, Semler previously owned the world’s shortest living dog.
Her previous pooch, Miracle Milly, was 3.7 inches tall and sadly died in 2020 at age nine.
Even though she is a small pup, Pearl has more bite than bark. It just shows that he smaller the dog, the more of a diva they are.
Semler recalled how Pearl loves to bark for cream when outside cafes, and is possessive over her toys and food.
Us too, girl, us too.
If these animals can teach us anything, it’s that no matter what we physically look like, friendship can know no bounds if you feel connected to someone.
