- Jennifer Lopez shut down rumors she has split with husband Ben Affleck during a press conference last week
- The singer and actor didn’t deny the rumors, but said the reporter ‘should know better’ than to ask
- The confrontation comes after reports that Affleck has moved out of the $60 million home they share

They married in a lavish ceremony in July 2022.
But fans are concerned that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s relationship could be on the rocks already.
And when asked about the rumors at a press conference this week, J.Lo was quick to shut down a reporter.
During a press conference for her new Netflix film Atlas, a reporter asked, “Is your divorce with Ben Affleck real? These rumors?”
“What is the truth? Para le press le Mexicana [for the Mexican press], what is the truth of the situation?”
Rather than answer the question herself, Lopez’s co-star Simu Liu quickly jumped in and said, “ “Ok, we’re not doing that. Don’t come with that energy, please.”
J.Lo, 54, then leaned forward and looked directly at the reporter, responding, “You know better than that.”
Affleck moves out
The awkward exchange comes after months of split rumors for the Maid in Manhattan star and her former Batman actor husband Affleck, 51.
Reports are even suggesting that the pair are living in separate homes – and the pair haven’t been seen in public together since March.
Despite his wife being co-chair of the event, Affleck was absent from the Met Gala earlier this month.
He is said to be living in a $100,000 monthly rental home that’s just a short drive from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s Brentwood house, while Lopez stays in their $60 million Bel Air mansion.
A source told In Touch, “He’s focusing on his work and his kids now,” the insider adds. “Ben has already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”
Affleck – who shares children Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and 12-year-old Samuel from his 13 year marriage to Garner, 52 – first dated Lopez for two years from 2002, and even proposed at that time.
They called off their engagement in 2004, and Lopez went on to marry singer Marc Anthony, the father of her twins Max and Emme, 16. Divorcing Anthony in 2014, she rekindled her relationship with Affleck in 2021, before tying the knot a year later in first a Las Vegas ceremony, and then a larger celebration for family and friends at Affleck’s Georgia house.
