Lisa is the next K-Pop star to venture into acting, as she will make her debut in The White Lotus season 3. The hit HBO show explores the lives of wealthy guests and staff at a resort and the mysterious events that happen there. The show premiered in August 2021 on HBO and had a huge jump in viewers during season 2, solidifying it as another success for the network.
Lalisa Manobal or Lisa is successful in her own right, she is one of the main girls in the K-pop girl band Blackpink. She is multi-talented, she sings, raps, dances, and now she acts! Each girl in the group has had their successes, and now Lisa will in a new acting career. The announcement that Lisa was joining the show was made in February 2024 much to the excitement of fans. This season is set in Thailand and stars the likes of Leslie Bibb and Jason Isaacs.

What did Lisa say about joining The White Lotus season 3?
In an interview with Variety, the Blackpink alum spoke about her acting debut on The White Lotus season 3.
She began: “I don’t know what to feel right now. I’m just so excited. I can’t wait for all of you guys to watch this show.”

Lisa expressed gratitude towards her fans and castmates in the interview for their support.
She appears to be close to her season 3 cast because she attended The White Lotus season 3 premiere with everyone on February 10.
The 27-year-old may be used to the stage, but she isn’t used to the set unless it’s of a music video. She stressed that she didn’t know what to “expect on set”. On her first day, there was a little confusion around marks and calls to action.
She said of her first day: “I’m so nervous. I was sweating. I was like, ‘I can’t remember my lines.’ I’m blanked”.
The actress also recalled that she shared her music with her co-stars. She shared her song Rockstar and its music video with her castmates. The song comes from Lisa’s album Alter Ego, which will be released in late February 2025. The song also appears on her EP of the same name, which was released in June 2024. Blackpink and Lisa’s fans have a lot to look forward to!
The K-Pop star also was asked what kind of movie she wanted to make to which she said an action film. When asked if could she play a badass on screen, she answered, “Oh yeah, I think so.”
Who does Lisa play in The White Lotus?
In The White Lotus season 3, Lisa will play a worker at the resort called Mook. Lisa’s role is fitting, since she is Thai, and the third season is set in her home country. Mook is a health mentor at the resort, which focuses on all things wellness and health.
Additionally, it seems Mook may also be a dancer, as there are stills of Lisa dressed in a glittering headpiece dancing at night. Maybe she’s doing a late-night show for the guests? Either way, the outfit is beautiful and she looks stunning.
