Minnesota Vikings pair Camryn Bynum and Josh Metellus ensured Kirk Cousins’ first return to the U.S. Bank Stadium was not only one that ended in defeat, but also hilarity.

The defensive duo were in fine form as the Vikings extended their winning record to 11-2 for the season with a comprehensive 42-21 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. But it wasn’t any of the Vikings plays that have made headlines in the aftermath of the game. But instead, one of the season’s finest celebrations. An all-timer that Bynum had briefed the NFL media about on Friday.

At the beginning of the second quarter Metellus picked off Cousins with an interception, prompting him and Bynum to break out an inch-perfect routine of the dance battle scene from 2004’s ‘White Chicks’.

It was a routine the pair had been studying all week.

“We watched it a million times. The mental reps is everything,” Bynum explained on Friday, “Just like watching film. You watch it, then it’s ‘all right, Josh, we gotta master it.’ Took 30 minutes one day, just to master it. Now it’s locked in. Now we know. So before every game we walk through it. But we have to do it real subtly. We don’t want anybody else to see it. We’ve got to just work our steps and talk through it, ‘this and this next, do this, all right, now we’re done, turn up.’

“We did one day of like a 30-minute rehearsal, like grinding. Other than that, it was just all watching film. We got it locked in. It’s muscle memory at this point. Because we know in the moment, we’ve got to make it big. We’ll be good.`”

Vikings fans will be hoping to see more of Metellus and Bynum’s routines between now and February, with the Vikings making a very strong run towards the post-season. Kevin O’Connell’s team are currently second in the NFC North, behind the 12-1 Detroit Lions.
