It was renewed for season two in October 2024. Set in California, the show is about sex podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and her journey to meeting an attractive rabbi Noah (Adam Brody). They can’t be together because Joanne is not Jewish, and this forms a big plot point for season one.

Despite some details about season two being released, fans are still wondering what is in store. With more photos from the set released, find out here about what to expect.
What were the Halloween photos from the Nobody Wants This set?

Photos from the set obtained by People show the cast of Nobody Wants This in full Halloween gear. This means we are getting a Halloween-themed episode, and there will be some time passing in season two.
The photos by photo agency Backgrid show each cast member in Halloween attire. Unfortunately, the pics cannot be reshared! Brody is dressed in a black tuxedo with pale face makeup, probably as a vampire. Justine Lupe, who plays Joanne’s younger sister Morgan, is dressed in a cutout dress similar to Julia Roberts’ dress from Pretty Woman.
Bell is dressed in a purple plaid shacket, which doesn’t make identifying her costume easy!
What could the costumes mean for Nobody Wants This season 2?

To tell you the truth, not much. It appears that the Halloween party will be a joint occasion with Noah and Joanne in attendance, so it is safe to assume they are together. However, it has been hinted that season two will explore another side to their relationship and how the religious conflict could affect them.
Additionally, with many new cast members, there will be room for more storylines and development. Brody spoke about Noah’s potential storyline in February 2025. The 45-year-old told Deadline what he thinks will happen in season two: “I think repercussions from [Noah] choosing maybe love over work. He’s going to grapple with that.”
Before meeting Joanne, Noah was up for a prestigious promotion at his synagogue. At the end of season one, Noah chose Joanne over becoming head rabbi.
When will season two be released?
At the moment, there is no release date for season two. According to Tudum, season two could arrive later this year, but nothing has been confirmed. Stay tuned for updates!
