- Sabrina Carpenter has landed the number one Christmas album of 2024
- It marks the second time Short n’ Sweet has reached the top of the UK charts
- Carpenter also performed her Tiny Desk Concert on December 20

It’s been a bumper year for Sabrina Carpenter.
But as an extra present this festive season, the singer, 25, has even more cause to celebrate – as she’s just landed the Official Christmas Number 1 album of 2024.
According to the UK charts, Carpenter’s sixth record Short n’ Sweet has returned to the top spot for a second time since its release on August 23.
The achievement marks the second time Carpenter has claimed the top spot with the album – which features songs such as Espresso, Taste and Please Please Please – after previously reaching number one after Short n’ Sweet’s release.
Carpenter is in good company in the top three. King of the Holidays Michael Bublé saw his 2011 album Christmas climb to number two, while Carpenter’s friend Chappell Roan reached number three.
Sabrina Carpenter performs Tiny Desk Concert

Carpenter’s festive week is going from strength to strength – as fans went wild for the release of her NPR Tiny Desk concert on December 20.
Playing a selection of her tracks – including Juno, Taste, Please Please Please and Slim Pickins – Carpenter was heavily praised via social media.
“On that note, Sabrina Carpenter deserves to perform more Tiny Desk performances in the future of her career, that was one of my favorite videos I’ve seen. The vocals were beautiful and angelic and her humor is way too funny. I love this woman,” wrote one.
Another agreed. “I said the same thing!” they replied. “Her vocals were crazy. I need these more isolated performances with the crowd yelling honestly. This just hit differently.”
Sabrina Carpenter pays tribute to Espresso
Carpenter also gave a special shout-out in the concert to one song in particular – Espresso.
According to Spotify, the song was the most-streamed track of 2024 – and earned Carpenter her first Grammy nod.
“It’s Grammy-nominated, which is cool, and is the first time I could say that,” she smiled. “I’m very excited, and honored and grateful. I had zero expectations when writing this song. It was so much fun to make.”
Ever the joker, Carpenter continued, “And I knew it was special but I just never knew that people had such a caffeine addiction and such a problem. I really underestimated how much of a problem it is in our world.”
