She’s the pint-sized pop star who’s currently touring the world.
And as the US leg of her Short n’ Sweet tour comes to a close, Sabrina Carpenter had a surprise up her sleeve for fans.
The Feather singer, 25, had a very special guest star perform at the first of her three Los Angeles concerts on November 15 – Christina Aguilera.
Footage from the evening shows a shocked Carpenter on the big screen, as the words, ‘Christina Aguilera is behind you’ appeared.
Aguilera, 43, then begins to sing one of her signature riffs – before the pair launch into a version of her 2006 hit, Ain’t No Other Man.
Sharing the moment to her 42.2 million Instagram followers, Carpenter wrote, “Thank you @xtina for coming out last night, giving everyone (me included) the surprise of our lives, and for being one of the main reasons I love and wanted to make pop music.
“I adore you to no end!!!!!! Mouth af***ingape!!!!”
‘You’re like a mini me of Christina!’
Fans went wild for the pair’s duet – with many hailing Aguilera as “a legend”.
“ICONIC WILL NEVER FORGET THIS,” screamed one, while another added, “I would be SOBBING. Christina is my childhood. My two idols performing together… the most talented pop stars. Most iconic duo to exist.”
Lots claimed they would “never recover” from the evening.
“Mother came and rocked our world last night. We’re still trying to recover over here,” someone else commented.
While other envious fans admitted they were jealous of “spoiled” LA, they also pointed out the similarities between the two singers.
“You’re like a mini me of Christina,” one said, while another agreed, “Mother and daughter vibes but not blood-related.”
“The way we screamed, cried, and had a total out of body experience when she stepped on stage with you,” praised someone else. “Two queens. Incredible show!!!!!!”
Others begged the pair to “get in the studio NOW” – while someone else acknowledged Carpenter’s love for her idol.
“10 year old Sabrina is losing her mind right now,” they said.
