- Sources have alleged Taylor Swift wants ‘no part’ in Blake Lively’s lawsuit
- Swift faced a subpoena from Justin Baldoni’s lawyers
- She had a friendship with Lively dating back years

The legal battle involving Blake Lively and now Taylor Swift seems to have gotten nasty. Sources close to the singer say she does not want to be involved with the lawsuit.
Lively, 37, is suing her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, 41. She is suing him for alleged sexual harassment and creating a smear campaign against her. In response, Baldoni countersued for $400 million, and his lawyers subpoenaed Swift, 35, in the case.
Following the news going public, a spokesperson for the Karma singer criticized the decision in a statement.

Her representative said Swift was “not involved in any casting or creative decisions” and was too busy on the Eras Tour to be involved. Additionally, the statement says her connection to the film was “permitting the use of one song”.
Furthermore, they say bringing her into the legal battle creates “tabloid clickbait” and takes focus off the case.
The subpoena is based on Swift allegedly pressuring Baldoni to accept Lively’s rewrites of scenes and texts that say she called Swift one of her “dragons”.
But the story gets messier as Lively’s lawyers also denied allegations from Baldoni’s team. They allege that Lively threatened to release private texts with Swift if she did not publicly support her.
The judge recently threw out the letter from Baldoni’s lawyers claiming this.
Now, insiders are shedding light on the current standing of their friendship.
How is the Taylor Swift and Blake Lively friendship now?

Sources have allegedly told PEOPLE the friendship is on the rocks. Despite reports previously saying the two have repaired their friendship, it seems the subpoena put a damper on things.
“Their friendship has halted,” says a source claiming to be closer to the singer. “Taylor wants no part in this drama.”
However, another source claims that the two ladies are taking time apart, but adds that they are “not no longer friends”.
Whatever that means…
People had sources tell them in April that Swift was hurt over the legal battle, but things seemed more positive back then.
Sources confirmed what Swifties already thought, as they claim the subpoena has “fractured” the “fragile peace” the A-listers had come to have amid the legal proceedings.
Interestingly, sources also spoke about model Gigi Hadid and her dwindling friendship with Lively.
“Gigi is closer to Taylor and has definitely taken her side in this whole drama. Gigi doesn’t want to get involved in this whole ordeal, but she is closer to Taylor and has distanced herself from Blake, although she still considers her a friend,” the source claims.
Has Swift said anything about the legal battle?
No, Swift has remained silent since the lawsuit. Only through her representative has she made a statement. In addition, Swift has not been seen with Lively since October 2024 when she, her boyfriend Travis Kelce, Lively, and Ryan Reynolds went on a double dinner date in New York.
While the drama behind the scenes seems to be escalating, until Swift says something (which she probably won’t), nobody knows her thoughts on it.
The Baldoni-Lively trial is scheduled for March 2026.
